Nubian Goats
                                       

Initially our quest began with the search for goat milk to drink because of the calcium deficiency and arthritis our mother was experiencing from a previous illness that left her weak.  She recovered from her illness but her arthritis still remained and it is painful.  Our mother learned that raw milk will help her more.  She enjoys goat milk but not the gamish smell that accompanied the goat milk that she experiences from the store and other sources.

She drove all over town and couldn't find milk that she was satisfied with.  Consequently, she bought home her first Nubian doe, Daffodil.  Daffodil is a wonderful doe and gives the best creamiest goat milk she had ever tasted without the gamish smell.  She was thrilled but Daffodil wasn't used to her new home and refused to eat.  She has attempted to entice Daffodil to eat yogurt and other treats, which was in vain.  Our mother came to realize that she was a social animal and needed other animals beside herself. So, she quickly bought more Nubians to be companions to each other; therefore, our farm has grown to be quite a herd of over 20 all of which are a joy to our farm and family.
